A warm welcome to Steve Warner and Liz Oliver who are at the front of our new office in Doncaster. The office will cover all Doncaster regions, Retford, North Lincolnshire and some parts of Lincolnshire.
Steve started in Building Regulations in 1983. Over his career in Local Authority Building Control Steve represented Doncaster and Yorkshire on Technical groups, became secretary and chair and represented Yorkshire at National level. He was put forward for fellowship of the former Institute of Building Control for services to the Industry. Currently a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Steve has extensive local knowledge of Doncaster and has been involved from everything to re-roofing dwellings, to alterations and extensions to shopping Malls, factories and offices. Has been an expert witness concerning construction issues and dealt with dangerous structures and demolition. He obtained FRACS recognition at Warrington Fire Research facility to do Fire Risk Assessments and became a lead assessor. As an Associate of Assent Doncaster, Steve wants to drive the company forward and make it the first choice for building professionals and property owners in the area, founded on quality of service, speed and a no nonsense approach to meeting the Building Regulations. Basically doing what he does best.
Liz Oliver is a Member of CABE with over 10 years of building control experience. Liz worked for DMBC building control for nearly 9 years having come from a Building Services background. While working for DMBC Liz completed a degree in Building Surveying, gained corporate membership of the CABE, became a sap assessor, air tester and acoustic engineer. For the last 18 months Liz has worked for an approved inspector plan checking, undertaking building control and warranty inspections. Liz is excited about her new career prospects working with Assent Building Control as an associate from the Doncaster Office. Liz is keen to develop the Doncaster business by offering a client focused approach with first class technical knowledge.
To mark the occassion of the the opening of Assent Doncaster, Steve and Liz will be holding a formal launch on Thursday 14 January at 10.30am to 12 noon at the Time Business Centre, 1 Watervole Way, Balby, Doncaster, DN4 5JP.
