Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Head of Commercial the Bid Coordinator will play a crucial role in our business development process by coordinating and managing bids, proposals, and tender responses. This role requires a strong communicator with exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

· Support the Commercial department to coordinate the entire bid lifecycle, from initial identification to submission. Ensure all deadlines are met and requirements are fulfilled.

· Monitor the Commercial department’s inbox in managing and updating on bid applications both internally and externally.

· Prepare, format, and edit bid documents, proposals, and presentations ensuring they are accurate, compelling, and aligned with company standards and branding.

· Work with the Head of Commercial to identify any new opportunities, inclusive of self-starting research of industry trends, and competitor success in this area.

· Work with relevant departments to collate the required information for bid responses.

· Keep an up-to-date bid library of content for best practice purposes within the department and integration with other departments e.g. Marketing

· Monitor the progress of bid submissions as well as identify areas for improvement post-submission failures.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required

· Customer first approach

· Excellent IT skills especially Microsoft Office and in particular Excel

(formulas, pivot tables)

· Analytical approach to problem solving

· Excellent time management and organisational skills

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Meticulous attention to detail

· Process driven individual

· Highly motivated

· Team working, able to build strong relationships.

· Innovative thinker

· Experience in the Approved Inspector industry is not essential but

advantageous.

· Experience of client portals such as Coupa, Constructionline, Avetta,

Coins, Builders Profile, Tradex, Intend and Statlog is required.

· Understanding of procurement processes, bid submissions and bid

library management
