Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Head of Commercial the Commercial Administrator will support the wider commercial team in all aspects of Commercial Administration work. The Commercial Administrator will become the “go to person” for all enquiries from the wider business and clients. The Commercial Administrator will keep the team up to date with all enquiries, tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

· Manage inbound quote requests from clients, involving the issuing of quotations, liaising with offices, surveyors and managing all relevant documentation and data/records on the DCC.

· Ensuring that all construction/client portals, are up to date with the required information to ensure our compliance with client requirements and contract terms.

· Liaise with surveyors to gather the information needed to issue quotations to clients. · Monitor pricing trends and make recommendations to the commercial team.

· Undertake competitor analysis in relation to pricing, services and service delivery, making recommendations to the commercial team based on the results.

· Customer management including completion of supplier forms to prevent break in payment terms with the client. · Build trusted relationships with key clients to improve service levels and to make sure all required information is provided in an accurate and timely fashion

· Identify issues and improvements to the whole commercial process within Assent, supporting the commercial team in identifying solutions.

· Monitor the commercial email inbox and respond to queries from offices and clients

· Respond to enquiries from the Assent network regarding commercial processes and documentation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required

· Customer first approach

· Strong IT skills especially Microsoft Office and in particular Excel (formulas, pivot tables)

· Analytical approach to problem solving

· Excellent time management and organisational skills

· Excellent written and oral communication skills – confident

· Meticulous attention to detail

· Process driven individual

· Highly motivated

· Team working, able to build strong relationships.

· Innovative thinker

· Commercial awareness balanced with a customer first approach

· Experience in the Approved Inspector industry is not essential but advantageous

· Experience of client portals such as Coupa, Constructionline, Avetta, Coins, Builders Profile, Tradex, Intend and Statlog is not required but would be advantageous
