New for 2024, we’re going to start putting the spotlight on various team members across Assent, Xact and Clarke Banks. First and foremost to all operations is the man at the helm of the Assent group, CEO Iain Thomson FCMA:
As CEO, Iain is responsible for the strategic development and growth of the group, communicating and cascading this down across the group through our shared Vision, Mission, Purpose and Goals.
In doing so, he leads by example, exemplifying the right behaviours which support our values-driven culture.
Iain’s role also involves ensuring that we have the right investment in resources and people to support the delivery of the plan. He also needs to be an advocate for Assent, acting as an ambassador for the business and managing all key stakeholder relationships. He is a Chartered Accountant with many years’ experience in senior financial/general management roles within a variety of different size businesses (PLCs to SMEs) and many different sectors in the UK including electronics, telecoms, financial services, manufacturing, distribution, retail and regulated professional services.
Iain’s line management sees him lead a number of team members of the executive team:
Outside of work, Iain likes to spend time relaxing with family and friends. Family life is very equestrian-focused, with everyone enjoying horse riding and the upkeep of the animals. He also enjoys other sports, keeping fit in general and yoga, and of course follows Manchester City.
Iain also helps his local community.
