Our Milton Keynes office was appointed to provide an Approved Inspector service for the new Boxpark in Croydon and Chartered Building Control Surveyor Alex Elsden was well up for the challenge. The project started in February 2016 and is still ongoing.
Boxpark is a retail park with a difference. It is built out of 80 re-cycled ship containers and will have a short life span of around 5 years housing food outlets and small independent retailers as well as providing an outside courtyard space for year round events.
Due to the nature of the building, the materials and site constraints, Boxpark has been a very interesting project in making it a safe environment for retailers and members of the public and at times had unique challenges which required cost effective solutions.
Boxpark is located next to East Croydon train station and is due to open late Summer 2016.Post Categories
