The Assent Central London office was appointed by Director Jonathan Mizzi of Mizzi Studios, to carry out building control on a café kiosk at the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre in London. The kiosk, which belongs to the café brand Colicci, is located at the entrance of the shopping centre and has made a huge impact with its magnificent contemporary sculptured copper roof.
The project took 18 months from conception to completion. Area Manager Luis Alonso said, “It has been an amazing experience to be part of this project since the very beginning where the kiosk was just a mere concept and we were able to assist and guide Jonathan and his team through the building regulations compliance procedure”.
Assent’s Project Manager Baldeep Birdi who was also involved in the project said, “We always look forward to working with Mizzi Studios. Their designs are bespoke and they think outside the box which challenges us as Building Control Inspectors”.
