Assent Surveyors Recognised in CABE Awards Shortlist

Assent Surveyors Recognised in CABE Awards Shortlist
26th January 2024

Two of Assent’s Assistant Building Control Surveyors have been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.

Jacob Senior and Adam Griffin were nominated for the Chartered Association of Building Engineers’ (CABE) ‘Apprentice of the Year’ category.

Adam was nominated by Jake Green, Building Control Manager, who praised his dedication to his chosen profession and the professionalism he has shown in pursuing it, particularly as he began his journey in the middle of the pandemic. Adam took a lead role in the distance learning experienced by his cohort and worked closely with apprentice leaders to ensure he and his fellow apprentices were learning in the best possible way.

Jacob was also nominated by Jake Green, who noted his willingness to help new apprentices by joining senior team members in presentations and at careers events. He also has his sights firmly set on the future as he contributes to sustainable practices and ensuring buildings meet minimum carbon emissions targets. His work on social housing projects was highlighted too.

Adam and Jacob face competition from two other apprentices in the industry for the award, the winner of which will be announced at the CABE Built Environment Awards Lunch held on 9th February 2024. It’s a shame they can’t both win, but we’d like to wish them both the very best of luck and congratulate them for such wonderful recognition so early on in their career.
